Gem’s Jams Terms & Conditions

By making a booking or attending any classes you agree to accept and abide by these terms.

Bookings and Payment
Booking and payment is through the Happity online booking system. An advanced booking is required to ensure your place in the class. Payments are managed by Stripe via the Happity website. Block of 3 or 5 bookings are offered or you can book PAYG individual sessions. Sibling discounts are available (Siblings mean only brothers and sisters from one family household.) Children from separate families who attend with one adult each need to pay the full price. If a class is not full, last minute ‘walk-in’ bookings will be accepted on the day. Happity payments, cash, or bank transfers can be accepted.

Refunds
Regrettably, missed classes due to sickness, holiday or scheduled appointments cannot be refunded. If you cannot attend a pre-booked class, you may ‘gift’ your place to a friend provided you contact Gem’s Jams with their name and contact details.

Sickness
If you cancel a session due to illness and we are able to fill your spot, we will be happy to move your session to another date. If your spot cannot be filled then unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a ‘make-up’ class.

Missed Classes
If you fail to attend a class without prior notice, we are unable to offer you a make-up session.

Cancellation of Classes
If a class is cancelled by Gem’s Jams, we will endeavour to give a minimum 24 hour notice period. Parents will be contacted via email or text message so please ensure contact details are kept up-to-date on the Happity database. Please also check the Gem’s Jams Instagram page for updates. An additional class will be offered if we have to cancel a class. We will work with you to arrange a make-up class, and only if this cannot be accommodated, you will be offered a refund for the cancelled session. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Supervision of Children
All children must be supervised by their parent/carer at all times and not left unattended. Please supervise your child/(ren) closely during the session and particularly during the use of props. The class leader cannot be responsible for a child at any time. Behaviour that is not deemed acceptable or safe may result in the child being asked to leave the session.

Use of Props
Adults are expected to supervise and participate with their child to ensure props and instruments are used safely and correctly. Props and instruments are not made to withstand misuse of any kind and Gem’s Jams cannot be held responsible for any misuse of the equipment. We are a lively group of mixed ages, some of the props and instruments may not be suitable for unsupervised play for under 3s. If you would prefer not to use one of our props or feel it is not suitable for your child please do opt out of using it.
